Why Christians Should Know About Transhumanism
Posted by: Alberta Ly on Feb 16, 2012
First of all, what is Transhumanism? Is it just some weird SciFi thing best ignored, or some far off in the future possibility, a “happening in a petrie dish” that has nothing to do with right now, of no importance to our personal lives?
It’s none of the above. It is the altering of the human genome (our humanity) to enhance, improve, transform and fundamentally alter what it means to be an ordinary human. Note the term “ordinary human”, because tomorrow’s population of genetically, technologically, neurologically and robotically altered beings will no longer be human, and are on the verge of walking our streets and fighting our wars, now. They will be our children. Outrageous statements? Yes, and supported by documentation.
On yours and my doorstep, Transhumanism research and development is departmentalized in all our higher schools of learning: our Law Schools, our military research labs (DARPA) and all military labs worldwide, our Pharmaceutical labs and those worldwide, our crime labs; it is the subject of detailed analysis and development in our government and funded to the billions of dollars just in our nation alone … in the open and in secret. The competition is fierce, and the winner will indeed be able to take all. Take all prisoner. Every one of us.
The very survival of mankind, of our children and grandchildren, depends on our grasp of these statements, and what we do about them.
Sounds bizarre, and frankly, it is.
Our third and final week of study in our “intro To Strategic Trend Briefings” centered on the subject of Transhumanism. Check out the following video documentary which interviews best selling author Tom Horn. Be a well balanced, educated Christian, strap on your seat belt and take a 55 minute ride down Transhumanism Lane to prove this right or wrong. You won’t regret it, indeed, you will be better informed and have a resource at your finger tips to pass along or to pursue for yourself.
